After our walking tour of Milan, we went exploring and stumbled across the World of Leonardo Museum during our explorations - what a lucky find! There are several hands-on exhibits and it is really fascinating to see replicas of his many engineering wonders. If you are ever in Milan, I highly recommend it.
There is much more to see at the museum than I included in this post. This post focuses on Il Cavallo. So much engineering and creativity went into this piece, it is a shame that Leonardo never saw it realized in his lifetime.
500 years later, many artists and individuals came together to recreate DaVinci's dream horse. Il Cavallo resides in Milan, Italy and there is a second one in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sadly, we didn't see the big one while in Milan.
