Blackberry Farm's Carriages

Blackberry Farms in Aurora, IL has a fabulous collection of 40+ carriages. I grew up in the area, but never knew this treasure existed until our most recent visit with the family. It was getting to be dusk and the collection is stored indoors, so not all of the photos are that great, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I can't cover them all in one post, so check back soon!

Laughing Bear Live Benefit

A live show is being hosted as a benefit for Lynn Fraley. Even if you're not able to support the show by attending, there are still many lovely donations that you can bid on. I sent over a couple lots, one is a single copy of The Art of Pastel: Bay, and the other lot is a compilation including: The Reference Collection: Equine Photography for the Artist, The Art of Prepping, The Art of Customizing, The Art of Detail Painting, and The Art of Mixed Media: Chestnut Tobiano. Please take a look and bid on something if you can. Here is the link to the show website. The show is next Saturday, so don't delay!

A Merger of Styles with Williams

This will be the final look at a merger of styles with a sculpting artist. There are several other wonderful sculptors featured in the portfolio on my website, I just haven't had the privilege of painting quite as many of their sculptures. I had to draw the line somewhere and having painted at least 6 horses was that line. I hope you enjoyed the journey. Hopefully the coming weeks will bring some new work to share.

This final week will look at the sculptures of Carol Williams. A woman of many talents, you'll find more than sculptures on her website. Featured here are her resins. I have done some customs of her sculptures that were produced by Stone Horses, too, that can be seen on my website.
