I nabbed this big fellow recently (he just got here yesterday) and I am so excited to work on him. He is a Wixom with an entirely new head and neck by Tierney Reid. He has a way to go to fix his proportions and tweak a few things, but I say he's got potential. What a lovely face!

I'm not sure if I want to keep him trotting, go for a different stage of the trot, or make him cantering. Any thoughts? I will need to cut apart his legs to lengthen them and maybe reset them under the body - especially the hind legs since his bottom will be getting much bigger. I'd love to hear some ideas on what position you'd love to see him in!

Oh, he's going to be so cool! Can't wait to see what you do with him!
Oh what a cool find Danielle! I love the head too.. he will be pretty awesome when your done.. I think Id lengthen his back just a little bit also.. I know drafts have short backs but his is a tiny bit too short.. I agree with the bigger butt and longer legs too.. but what movement? hmmmm.. thats a hard one..I.. have one here I plan to remake in the future and Im still not sure what I'll do with it movement wise. .. hmm well a canter Would look good.. or even a gallop! he has the mane and forelock already for a gallop...good luck on him! .. I hope you will post in progress pics here on the blog when you do him..I love to see how other artists work and see the steps they go thru.. I just noticed one thing on him.. his throat latch seems a bit too big.. Id ck that out too...

I'd love to see him in a big, powerful, ground-shaking canter/gallop...were you planning on giving him feathering like a Shire or something? I do agree with the longer back and legs...ooohhh, looks like fun!
